Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Switchline, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

1. Service Description

Switchline provides temporary phone number services ("burner numbers") for legitimate privacy protection purposes. Our service allows you to:

  • Purchase temporary phone numbers for SMS and voice communication
  • Maintain privacy when sharing contact information
  • Separate personal and business communications
  • Protect your primary phone number from unwanted contact

2. Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use Switchline for legitimate purposes including:

  • Online dating and social interactions
  • Business communications and customer service
  • Online shopping and account verification
  • Temporary projects requiring phone verification
  • Privacy protection for legitimate activities

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Switchline for:

  • Illegal activities or criminal conduct
  • Harassment, threats, or stalking
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
  • Spam, unsolicited marketing, or robocalling
  • Creating fake accounts or identity theft
  • Bypassing bans or restrictions on other platforms
  • Any activity that violates local, state, or federal laws

3. Account Registration

To use Switchline, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Use only one account per person

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Payment and Billing

Pricing and Plans

Our current pricing includes:

  • Basic Plan: $3.99 for 30 days (1 number, unlimited usage)
  • Pro Plan: $9.99/month (up to 3 numbers, enhanced features)
  • Business Plan: $29.99/month (up to 10 numbers, priority support)

Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscription plans auto-renew unless cancelled
  • No refunds for partial months or unused service
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

5. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance or updates
  • Network or equipment failures
  • Force majeure events
  • Third-party service provider issues

We will provide notice of planned maintenance when possible.

6. Number Retention and Portability

  • Basic plan numbers are retained for 30 days from purchase
  • Pro and Business plan numbers are retained as long as subscription is active
  • Numbers cannot be ported to other carriers
  • We reserve the right to reclaim inactive numbers
  • Number availability is not guaranteed and may vary by area code

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is protected under our comprehensive Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We never store call content or message details
  • Minimal data collection focused on service provision
  • Strong encryption and security measures
  • No data sharing with third parties except as required by law

8. Compliance and Legal Cooperation

Law Enforcement Cooperation

We cooperate with law enforcement when required by valid legal process. We may provide:

  • Account information and payment records
  • Phone number assignments and usage metadata
  • Technical information about service usage

Note: We cannot provide call recordings or message content as this information is not stored in our systems.

Regulatory Compliance

Our service complies with applicable telecommunications regulations including FCC requirements and TCPA provisions.

9. Account Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Cancelling your subscription through the app
  • Contacting support at admin@switchline.app
  • Not renewing your subscription

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Illegal or harmful activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Abuse of our service or systems

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Disclaimers

Switchline is provided "as is" without warranties. We disclaim:

  • Guaranteed service availability or uptime
  • Compatibility with all devices or carriers
  • Specific number availability or retention
  • Freedom from service interruptions

Limitation of Liability

Switchline's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes:

  • We'll update the "Last updated" date
  • Material changes will be communicated via email
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of new terms
  • You may terminate your account if you disagree with changes
